Deluxe Rebuild Kit

I purchased the IHPA deluxe rear brake kit. I put everything together and it seems like the cable for the auto adjusting is slightly too long. Instead of the bottom of the adjuster bracket sitting near the top of the gear it sits half way down next to the gear. Any ideas?

Post a clear photo of the assembly. Are there other brake options for your truck? It would seem that the cable is tied to the shoe size.

I figured it out. I pulled it apart again and found the cable guide was not seated correctly under the spring. I bent the hook on the shoe spring a little tighter and it holds it in all the way now.
