Hi guys,
I'm going down to death valley feb 18-21 for some camping and driving. I'm not an experienced off roader so I want to double check the trails I have planned. We're going down in my '72 1210 4x4 travelette shortbed, with closed knuckle axles and a terrible turning radius. I have 32" tires.
We are staying in stovepipe wells. If we get there early enough we will check out marble and cottonwood canyons. I'm not worried about those. Friday we will probably go through titus canyon. I'm not worried about that one either, but we're brining some mountain bicycles and it looks nice. Saturday I'd like to drive to the devil's racetrack from saline valley. Should I be worried about hunter mountain road, lippincott grade, or grapevine canyon? If one of those seems like a bad idea I could come down from ubehebe crater and skip the rough leg. Sunday will just be driving home.
Anything I should be worried about or anything else I should consider?
