Dana 44 lower ball joint hitting shaft

I'm replacing the bottom ball joint on my front Scout Dana 44 and the ball joint stud hits the axle shaft when torqued to specs. Please help going crazy.
First tighten the bottom to 80 ft lbs, then the threated sleeve to 50 ft lbs and last the top nut to 100 ft lbs
 
Maybe they just made the ball joint too long. I see no problem in cutting or grinding it off like 2 threads above the nut. I used moog ball joints, they fit fine.
 
Found the problem. I was being cheap a bought the cheap oreilly master pro joints which are longer. The bottom stud was hitting the axle shafts. Got some moog which fit perfect.
