dana 20 speedometer gear help

I have a 1975 Scout with a dodge 360 the Dana 20 and 727. My big question is what is the correct style of speedometer gear that I need and where can I get it. I can find speedometer gears for the 727 easy but I would just assume run the speedometer for the transfer case so I can have accurate speed while in 4x4. I will not be running the stock tire size I plan on running a 35" tire, and with the 3.56 axle ratio I will need a 27 tooth gear but now what?? Is changing out the gear as simple as unbolting the threaded portion on the the transfer case and pulling out the gear?? Please if anyone has any comment or information I would greatly appreciate it.

Yes it is rather easy to swap out the gear.

Do you already have 1 gear & want another?

Your best bet it to get it running, and then do some tests.
You can parallel a friend at various speeds & see what your speedo says. Or use a street mile marker & figure out the mileage & do some math.

Personally, with 3.56s & 35s, I think your rig will be sluggish off the line, but should do well gas wise.

I run 4.88s w/35s & I'd have to hit 3k+ on the tach to do over 55 mph.
