Dana 20 front shaft play

Hello all,

I'm in the midst of tearing into the Dana 20 from 74 s2.

I noticed that on the yolk side of the shaft there is a little bit of play. Not too much but perhaps 1/2mm or so.

Is there a spec for play on that end of the shaft? Or do I need to adjust the shim pack on the shaft cover?

Adjust the shim pack accordingly. There should be no end play and a touch of preload.
