Dana 18 overdrive

I have not been able to find an answer to this question anywhere on this forum but I was wondering can you take the the overdrive unit off of a Dana 18 transfercase and adapt it to a Dana 20. Similar to a saturn overdrive or an old warn?

No, the Dana 18 is a different animal than the Dana 20. Having both an offset front and rear driveshaft yoke leaves a cover right behind the transfercase bull gear. This allows you to run a pto and overdrive unit. The Dana 20 case has a centered rear driveshaft yoke and offset front. There is no way a Dana 18 overdrive or pto can work on this as there is no acces to the bull gear. There is a pto for the Dana 20 that bolts to the bottom of it though.
