D44 Tapered Axle Bearing

I have a tapered D44 with a bent axle, I have a good one but I need a new bearing/race and to have it pressed on. Nobody around me has a clue as to what to do.


Does anyone know of a shop in socal, preferably in the Inland Empire or Orange County that I can do this?

On a tapered axle, the wheel bearing is NOT pressed on. Basically it is "snapped" on with wrist movement.

The inner race bore on the bearing is also tapered to match the shaft.

A visual would be awesome!! I dont really understand what "snapped" means.
