D Series Crossmember removal

Found a crack in the crossmember of my '71 T'ette. Its got dual exhaust and a 5 speed. There's a good one in a parts truck and the plan is to swap it in. Anyone have any suggestions the easiest way to do this?

Exhaust will most likely have to come out but depends on how it was built. I'm trying to remember if the tranny and bellhousing had to come out though when I repaired the one in my Travelall but it has been some time since I fixed it.

Perhaps it was a little more than a crack.

For the record, I just had to cut the exhaust to put the new x member in. HOWEVER, when I drove the Scout to the parts store a welsh plug started leaking. Had the engine rebuilt 10 years ago and I guess cheap Chinese plugs were installed. Probably going to pull the engine to replace them all.
