Ok all you IH gurus out there, I'm in need of your help. I'm trying to finish buttoning up the drive train on my 1975 d-200 4x4 restoration, and have run into another problem.
I finally stuffed the engine and trans back into the belly of the beast and now I can't figure out the transmission shift linkage.
Here is the setup:
I've assembled the parts to match the schematic in the parts book, but when I mount it, I'm not able to get it to cycle through the gears. It is hitting the cross member that runs under where the engine and transmission bell housing meet.
Here are pictures of what parts I have and how they were assembled when I got them. Also, how does this thing connect to the column?

- 345v8
- 727 transmission
- NP205 tc
- auto shifter on the column
