cvr testing

I know that you all have talked about testing cvr before. My question is if you test through the cvr with a volt meter with 12 volts on ign.side and 12 v. On other side, would you consider this bad? My fuel gauge reads over full with only about 5 gal. Of fuel in tank. I installed new sender and tested ohm. Readings of 10-80. Went to fuel gauge and tested power at plug and it reads 12.7 volts and never pulsed.

The rig is 76 Scout mostly stock, with wiring issues.

Yes, I would consider that cvr bad with 12 volts on the ouput side. Get it replaced soon, and disconnect it for now or you'll fry the gauges. I haven't replaced any yet, so I'm not real familiar on where to get one. Someone will chime in on a replacement.

Thank you. I ordered one from "xxx" and will try it soon. Hopefully it didn,t alredy fry gauges and fuel sender.

I've edited this post, we prefer not to discuss other vendors unless it's a company who we have a business relation with as this site exists for technical support for those that support our business!

Thanks for joining up with us!
