My first post.
I have recently become the owner of my uncle's 1967 pick up. It's a 2 wheel drive truck, 304 with 4 speed manual transmission. I'd like to convert it to a 4x4. It's a clean truck with just over 40k miles on it. I'd really like to keep as much of the truck as possible and just swap out drive train components. Is this realistic or is it a major undertaking with regard to complexity and cost?
For instance, are the frames the same on 2 wheel drives as on 4x4's or do you have to perform major mods to the frame?
Appreciate any insight you guys can provide.
Thanks!!!
