Ok making some head way, got carb on, radiator is back, took apart those two pieces that hold the thermostat and looks like doooky, need the gaskets since they are chard to ablivion. So since I can't start my truck right now, my baby is puking steering fluid because its empty but I cant tell exactly from where, maybe hose, or ps pump, is there a kit I can use to reseal it or should I just replace the hose and powersteering pump if I know which one it is..

Thanks

Did the Scout run when you got it?

If you are going to "shoot in the dark", I would just replace the hoses (ihon has them). Then, see if you have any other leaks / noises when you get it running.

Otherwise, you can clean the pump / hoses / steering box / frame; fill the pump (I think it needs to be "burped" / add fluid after the pump is running since you say it is "dry".) and see where the leaks are.

The input shaft seal in the steering box can leak, also. But, I doubt it would leak enough to empty the pump canister - unless you ran it a long time without adding fluid.

Ihon also offers a p/s seal kit -- if you want to do that...
