Carb Question

I recently had the carb rebuilt on my 64 Scout 80, one barrel Holley original. It starts right up and runs fine but after just a little bit fuel comes out of a "vent" on the top. I assumed the needle was sticking and checked and cleaned it even though it looked fine but it does it everytime. I'm not sure what this is for other than a real fire hazard. Is it fixable or do I need to consider a after market carb, I would really like to keep it original? Thanks

Take the carb back to the rebuilder and ask them to try again. Could be the needle, seat, dirt or a float with a leak.
