Well we are off to a great start this year. We had a great first of 2011 meeting.
We heard from kurt about the final outcome of our IHSTO adopted family. Once again it was a huge success. As a club we really made a difference in this family's life. That is something that as a member you can feel great about. I want to thank kurt and his family for doing the shopping and wrapping all the presents for the family.
we talked a bit about the road rallyes and it was deiced that we would start them back up again in February. So Mark your calenders for feb 19th. We will have the first IHSTO road rallye of 2011.
We then turned the meeting over to monte. He presented us with a slide show of the "rise and roll" of the little pink Scout. A great program and fun to watch.
We had 3 new members at this meeting. Two of them even drove scouts. One new member is from keizer and has owned his Scout for 3 years. It is amazing to me that as close as he has been we just now connected with him. Keep your eyes open. If you see an International while you are out and about. Flag them down and invite them to a meeting. Pick up some club cards from lyle next meeting and keep them in your rig. This influx of new members that we have had over the last year or so is awesome. New blood is what keeps this exciting and keeps the club moving forward.
