By-pass Oil Filter

My 47 k2 came to me fitted with a deluxe brand engine oil by-pass filter.

Other than it was one of many offered back in the day, I can't seem to track down any information or replacement items for it. Perhaps there's a vintage parts biz I haven't found yet, or perhaps deluxe is long gone. I know the parts for the ac line such as used in Chevy's and many trucks are still around and you can still get filters for them.

Any leads would be highly valued.:icon_mrgreen:

Napa sells those canister 'sock' filters, p/n 1001 or 1002 or something similar. Take the old filter with you and they can figure it out.

Thanks for the replies!!

Update: the "sock" filter is still available. However, the dimension differences between brands, though small, are critical as to whether the sock will fit in the cannister or not. A baldwin jc405 was perfect for this deluxe.

Flow is the issue as there's an orifice on the filter inlet, so maybe a spin-on newer one will play right with this engine.
