I went ahead and purchased a bussmann block as a way to clean up my wiring under the hood and to wire my dui that I just purchased. The block has 5 relays that are fused. Initially I had planned to power it via the positive terminal on the battery but now I am not so sure. Here is what I am trying to transition over to the relay box.
1). Hei/dui
2). Horn
3). Choke
4). Hi-beams
5). Lo-beams
I've been told that I need to tap into the alternator for the lighting as that's the best approach however my block only accepts one power connection so it's either battery or alternator. Do you guys see any issues with tapping the alternator for all this instead of the battery? Thoughts?
Vehicle is a Scout II / 345 with original harness. Alternator is stock for vehicle.
