Last year I started tearing two trucks apart with hopes of completing one in prestine condition. The bare frame got sandblasted, powder-coated, & baked along with both axles & 5 of my OEM wheels, (the snap rings were painted the body color). I had new springs made in Detroit. Both axles (Dana 40 closed knuckle & Dana 60) completely rebuilt w/new bearings, trunion bushings, seals, lock-outs, and everything shimed & torqued per specs. Now comes the tie-rods, center-link, & steering link. Tie rods came from Moog, steering link came from our friends at IH Parts, and the center link (once it got straightened out) winds up having my front tires toed-out 7-1/8". Theres maybe 1/2" on both tie rods I could shorten it - but that 1" isn't going to get it. This center link (sleeve) measures 54-5/8" long, and obviously isn't going to work. I suppose what I've got could be machined down to fit but my first inclination is to see if theres anyone out there who has what is needed here?
