Borgeson kits -- standard vs. vibration-reducing?

Hi again Jeff. Is there a noticable difference in feel between the standard borgeson kit and the kit with the vibration-reducing u-joint?

And is there any chance they'll be going on sale again in the foreseeable future?

also... While I'm thinking about it, do you happen to sell new/nos stock drag links? I could probably use a new dl, but with me running 31's, I don't think I need anything overbuilt.

Yes there is a noticable difference to some but not others. I think it more or less depends on your tire, inflation pressure, and road conditions.

Although not normally in stock we do sell stock lightline draglinks. Price is $114.95 plus shipping. If you want one let me know and I will add one to my next stock order.

Hi again. Just for the sake of argument, do you happen to sell a hd drag link for stock (non high-steer if it makes a difference) applications? I guess re-greasable ends would be nice.

I have them coming but none in stock at the moment. I was supposed to have them by now but my supplier broke a tap and hence was delayed. I don't have a price for them yet but I will post up when I get them in.

Thanks. I have access to an nos factory tie rod, which I plan to install at some point. But I'm thinking if I don't replace the drag link too I'm just tempting fate. Much of my steering linkages is going on 30 years old. I think it's time to some replacing... With better parts where it matters.

Heavy duty replacement tierods and draglinks are now in. Price is $150 each. They are not on the online store yet so if you need one in a hurry please call.

I notice on your tie rod and drag length page that you require lengths to be specified. Just out of curiosity, is the length of your drag link adjustable, like a tr is? I was thinking that a little adjustability would be nice in a dl for centering steering, or accounting for a drop pitman arm. Otherwise I'd just get a stock dr.

Hi Jeff. I installed my borgeson kit (with the vibration damping joint) this weekend. It is indeed very nice! Just about all the 'play' has gone from the steering. I haven't installed the drag link or tres yet. I'll do that before desert season begins again though. I'm just doing those as a precaution anyway... They seem not to have any noticeable play.

And I'm happy to report that there's no additional noise or vibration... At least not that I can detect. I'm happy.

Hello Jeff, I'm getting ready to buy a steering column from flaming river. Do you know the proper length? I was going to order the 36" 2" diameter. I also need to buy all steering pieces from column to steering box. I have 40" tires. Will have your pump and hyd assist.

Thanks,
