Can anybody provide info on the active amateur (ham) radio repeaters in the area? I plan on writing a program for my vhf/uhf radio for the bb trip.

Well, there are about a million of 'em. You can look 'em up here:

One of the repeaters with the best coverage of the area is the marc repeater. 146.640 − offset 100 pl it covers most of the north willamette valley.

Thanks for the tip on the marc repeater. Here in nor cal, there are also hundreds of repeaters in the listings. But my experience has shown that only a handful are actually used on a routine basis.
That's why I was posting the question to hams from the area in hopes of filtering out the lesser used machines from my programming.

Another good one, if you have 440 capability is the ycares repeater at 441.800 + 100 pl
that one sees a little more activity than marc
