bearing clicking??

Noticed driving the other day a clicking from driverside hub. Thought hub was not disengaging, I was wrong. Took the hub lock assembly off and was still clicking. Must be a wheel bearing??? What is involved in doing this? Is there an inner and outter??

I have heard rims with fractures click. unless the bearings are real dry like in lack of grease I have never heard one click but that doesn't mean they can't. Double check the lug nut torque, should be 100 ft/lb+/-.
Also check rear/front u-joints for damage.

Removing the hub requires removing the bearing lock/retainer and depending on lock style either a setscrew or a double lock nut/ring arrangment is used. Kinda got to clean off the grease and take a look-see.

If you have a auto hub deal the drag/clutch assy needs to come off and from what I have seen a snap ring is used???

Hope some one that knows for sure what to ask you pipes in to help.

If the brake rotor is slightly warped and the brake pads worn in the pads May emit a clickling noise when driving down the road. Lightly apply the brakes while driving straight and if the noise goes away then you have located your problem.

Yes I didnt mention it does stop when I brake. Took the wheel off and you can slightly dial in where it is by turning the rotor. Pads still have at least 60 70% life in them. Whats the fix??

Two possible fixes are possible. One would be to turn the rotor. However if you feel little to no pulsation in the brake pedal while braking then I would check the clip on the bottom of the inside pad and make sure it is still there. On the outer pan if it feels loose you can get try squeezing the 'fingers' on the pad to make it fit tighter on the caliper.
