Coming back from a nice easy forest service road day trip a couple weeks ago I am getting some really bad vibrations through the drive train. We feel it in all gears at all speeds, gets worse as you speed up. If you push in the clutch it felt like it went away, but towards the end it felt like it May still be there while in neutral.
The transmission is bolted tight to the bell housing and to the back of the engine. The transfer case is bolted to the transmission tight. My drive shaft is a year old and a cv joint drive shaft. Just had the new drive shaft out and at the shop to check the joints and balance 4 months ago.
I am leaning towards something inside the transmission about to blow out the side of the case? Any ideas what could be causing the vibration?
We are talking about a 345 with t-19 close, Dana 300, Dana 44 front and rear with 3.73 gears.
Thank you all.
