automatic 3-speed transmission slipping

I have a 1978 Scout 2 4x4 and in it I have a 345 v8 engine and a 3-speed automatic transmission. Ever thing was working perfectly fine I was driving it all over the place. I parked it for about 2 weeks then drove it again and my transmission started slipping mostly going up inclines a little steeper than flat ground and it started leaking a lot.. Could that be bad oil? Dirty filter? Or what..

Pull the maintenance on the transmission dude!

There are two "how-to" sticky threads in this sub-forum that were posted just for that occasion.

And if you are gonna submarine your ride on occasion...ya better do something about relocating all the vents in both axles, transfer case, and transmission. I'm suggesting all are heavily dosed with water.
