You would need to find out the specifications on the fuel gauge. There is an ohm reading that matches between the the sending unit and the gauge in order for it to read correctly from empty to full.

Off the top of my head I don't recall what the ohm reading is for the stock sending unit. It's posted some where in the forum. I'm aware that isspro fuel gauges will match up with oem sending units in the Scout II's. Auto meter does have different models of each series of gauges, to choose from, that have different ohm readings to match up with the different sending units

That's a sweet gauge set up! You need to find out what ohms the autometer gauge is designed for. Scout fuel senders are designed for 10/72 +/-10ohms. I would recommend buying the matching temp and oil pressure sending units from autometer as well so that you know everything is matched up. And of course your gauges are only going to be as accurate as your wiring will allow them to be so if you're running around on old, original wiring you May want to update that as well.

Back on thisntopic. For me. I plan on getting an electronic speedometer. Just making sure im getting the right part for the app. To convert mchanical to eletrical speedometer I should use the 7/8 hall effect speedometer sender from auto meter and that should adapt to the IH cable or am I mistaken.
