Arm rest finish

Hi - wondering what the finish is on these replica 800 arm rests:
replacement wood replica arm rest for 1966-71 Scout 800, 800a, 800B - IH Parts America Are they vinyl wrapped like they appear in the picture? Any foam under that or just wood?

Your picture must be a little fuzzy as they are not vinyl wrapped. They are solid wood with a smooth outer surface.

They are painted a flatish black, thus giving it that appearance. Thanks.
