I'm replacing the 304/t-18/d20 in my '72 Scout w/ a 392/t-19/d300. Do the t18 and t19 transmissions take different mounts? After loosening mounts and some prying (trans about 1/2" too far forward), I was able to mount the engine and trans. However, I struggled to get the transfer case in (was hitting floorboard). The trans seemed to be too high (about 1"). My trans crossmember is a little bent as if if took a lick at some point but I don't think its that far off.
