I picked this block up from john donnelly's place a couple years back, intending to rebuild it someday and swap it into my Scout. But the 304 that's currently in my Scout just keeps purring with no signs of quitting anytime soon, and the time and $$ I can put into the Scout needs to go lots of places other than rebuilding a motor I don't need.
The details:
it's been in my garage the whole time I've had it, sitting on an engine stand that I bought new just for this purpose, covered with a cargo blanket.
It has the heads, exhaust manifolds, oil pan, intake manifold, rockers & valve covers, etc. It's complete motor-wise. No accessories (no carb, dizzy, etc.)
it was a mouse house at some point before. I cleaned out the nest (in the oil gallery) but mousey pee has left some surface rust. There doesn't appear to be any serious pitting of the metal, but the block would definitely need to be tanked & blasted before rebuilding.
The deal - pretty simple terms: if you want it, it's yours free. Come get it (beaverton, or). You can even have the new engine stand I bought for it, as I need the room in my garage. The whole thing needs to go as a package, otherwise I'll haul it to the scrapper.
