Anyone every break there heater ducting?

I'm so hardcore I had the heater ducting under the dash break off the firewall at the bolts that it mounts to.

I didn't take a picture -- but I should!

Has anyone ever seen this before? The ducting broke right around the bolts and the duct fell out and was hanging by the def/heat flap control.

I'm sure it was during this same time that my headlight fuse rattled out...

Wow. Guess its time for Dana 60 heater duct.

Here is the pic:

It had the factory insulation material behind it, so it was kind of cushioned... I guess 35 years of smashing around finally took it's toll though. It is now 'hard mounted' to the fire wall with sheetmetal screws.
