Alternator whine and blinkers

Just got done with my rewire on my 79, and I'm still getting alternator whining through my stereo, no matter if it's on radio, cd, or acc. It didn't start until I put in a new alt. On it, the old one never whined. I noticed it is putting out more volts than the old one did, not sure if that's the problem or not.

Second question, all my blinkers go at the same time, no matter if I turn the switch left or right, they light up like I have the hazards on. Thought it was a ground issue, so I put them on separate grounding points, and that didn't fix it. Not sure what else to check. I wired the side markers on the front to be blinkers, instead of park lights.

Your newer alternator probably does not have an internal condenser installed, or if it does it's ng.

Simply wire the feed for the sound system through a "choke coil", noise filter, or ground loop isolator assembly available from any mobile sound source and that should handle the rfi you are experiencing in the receiver output.
