Air Filter Housing for 0-7448 conversion

Does anybody have any experience with installing the 14" offset air cleaner assy w/ 3" reuseable filter part #: sum-239432 on the holly 0-7448 carburetor. The problem is the off set mounting stem is 5/16-20 and the carburetor is 1/4-20. Also there is interference in the forward top of the carb where there is a plug on top of the fuel bowl that hits the air filter housing.
 
Hi michael, I tried to reply in the other forum and I guess it didn't post. The air filter is the one Jeff sells supposedly for that application. The stud that came with the Holley carb is 1/4-20, the off set stud that came with the k&n off set filter housing is 5/16-18. Does Jeff sell a flat filter housing that is off set? I forgot to ask you when you remove the choke stove and housing, what are the threads that go into the manifold. Looks like they penetrate the exhaust crossover. Sorry to keep bugging you but I really appreciate your help. Thanks, Danny

Posts in the IH only area sub-forum are moderated due to the heavy hits we get from spammers. I have responded in that thread this morning however.

Give Jeff a call at the shop and discuss this issue, I don't have access to the inventory down there in order to be able to advise as to what is currently on the shelf!

As for removing the oem choke stove, take a look at this thread from a few days ago, specifically post #7 and later:

To answer your specific question, the retaining fasteners for the choke stove heat sink are 1/4"-20 thread.
