My buddy has a 152 with the original delco distributor. We are trying to replace the vacuum advance but, the advance plate that the points and condensor are attached to is also over the top of the screws that attach the vacuum advance.
I had to go jog my memory on one of my 4 banger dizzys.
Rotate the breaker plate ccw (same as if the diaphragm is advancing) by placing a screw driver in the little rectangular slot
just by where the link from the diaphragm connects to the breaker plate. This will uncover the advance retaining screws.
After removing the screws pull the diaphragm off of the locating pin and slide it out. The breaker plate will rotate also allowing the link to be slid out of the breaker plate. You kinda have to turn the advance unit as you pull it back.
