9th Annual 2015 IH Sierra Fall Rallye

It's official! The 9th annual IH Sierra Fall Rallye will again be held at the Nevada County fairgrounds in Grass Valley, CA on October 9th-11th, 2015.

This year will be slightly different(yet again) in where we are located within the grounds. The games will be held in the same area, however vehicle line up and vendors will be in the stretch of trees that goes from the game area to ponderosa hall. This last year we tried the wide open field and somewhat baked in the sun. This year we will try the trees. Whichever in the end we find the most suitable will be the area we stay in future events.

The other reason we are taking the stretch of trees over to ponderosa hall is that Saturday's dinner and Sunday mornings breakfast(possibly Saturday's lunch too) will be held indoors at the hall as well as cooked by a team of volunteers. More to come on this as we finalize the details.

• Do I need to sign up for Friday’s street, trail or fordyce runs - no, not really…just show up before departure times. If you would make a note on the registration sheet, that would be helpful. The fordyce group will have their own info thread.

• Where will the fordyce base camp be? - The cisco grove campsite. The group leaves early Friday morning and returns to the Nevada County fairgrounds Friday evening.

• are dogs allowed at the Nevada County fairgrounds? - Yes, but they must be on a leash.

As always dick with df sales & marketing is running a swepco oil special for the rallye as well as donating a case of 20w-50 motor oil for the raffle. We have been updating the previous few posts with the 2015 sponsors as they come in. Please take a moment from time to time to review these posts as without these sponsors we wouldn't even have an event. For those taking the mild street run we will be running this year up over donner summit to tahoe city for lunch. Travel time each way to be approximately 2 hours each way with a stop up at donner summit to view the old abandoned railroad. Lunch will be at moe's bbq in tahoe city which has a real nice beach area just down the walkway! Hopefully everyone can all park on the beach front parking lot at commons beach for a nice shot of all the rigs with tahoe in the background.

The 9th annual event has passed and was another huge success. Our largest turn out yet with over 54 vehicles on site, many that we have never seen before at the show. There were lots of walk ups who just came by to look around. The babs crew cooked up 180 hot dogs for lunch and every one of them was gone at the end. The kids had lots to do with painting, coloring, pumpkin carving, cornhole game and miniature golf. The best dinner and breakfast to date was served up in the ponderosa hall.
