800 bed floor sheetmetal

Got the new bed all drilled out for plug welds,should I scuff it up before epoxy and or should I epoxy it before install then lightly sand off where my plug welds will be. Thanks from newbie sheet metal guy

You want to get weld thru type primer. Just google it and you will find all sorts of brands available.
