1978 Scout II (SSII build) Az vehicle owned since 1981, garage kept & needs a good home with a Scout enthusiast wanting $9600 obo
Original 345 v-8: well kept - still runs reliably but a bit tired, starting to get a valve tap, also w/ typical oil drip from old main seals & valley pan, plus a very small radiator leak.
4 bbl intake and carter afb, electric fuel pump (set up as an assist)
8mm taylor sp wires, new plugs, rotor, cap (prestolite distributor)
optima battery and very heavy gauge cable w/ aux hot terminal post on firewall
firewall mounted Ford solenoid bypass setup for reliable, quick consistent starts
four core radiator (very minor leak)
dual exhaust w/flowmasters®
straight steer® cross- frame brace & dick cepek® steering stabilizer
u joint steering linkage (heavy older style)
warn® manual locking front hubs
chrome-moly drag link (very strong)
welded frame gussets/plates for reinforced strength at spring mounts
4” triangle® lift springs and poly bushings
extended heavy 4” rear spring shackles
1" extended heavy front shackles (anything Scout kit)
1+” body lift (delrin spacers) with polyurethane body mounts
727 torqueflight auto tranny- (runs great no issues)
transmission fluid cooler (mounted front of radiator)
Dana 20 tc, Dana 44’s f/r, w/ 3.73 gears
steel brake lines f/r, power steering (rebuilt), front disk brakes (rotors, drums good)
(5) 32” BFG mud/snow with 3/4 tread intact, black steel spokes w/locking lugs
ss II grill, s II door inserts, bushwacker ® fender flares, ss II mirrors
kayline® ss II soft top, plus bikini top and hardware (unused), ss II door frames/skins
custom “d&e extreme” powder-coated bumpers f/r (class iii towing & winch ready, w/shackles)
unique exterior/interior “tough as nails” coatings of up to ¼” speedliner® toughest polyurethane made
custom heavy steel security/storage box mounted in rear of bed (removable)
rear mounted spare/gas can (swing arm style)
grant® black racing steering wheel (horn not operational)
