Hi everyone, glad to join your forum. Figured I've had my Scout for over a year and I'd better post a few pics in a build thread.
I'm doing a frame off ground up restoration with the goal of a weekend cruiser slash occasional light duty off roading in mind.
Going with a 4 inch lift, combinatio uncertain. Ie body, spring combo. Want to maintain some ride quality and gain some ground clearance. Going with steel wagon wheels in white and 32 inch tires. Other than that I'm keeping things fairly stock with fuel and ignition upgrades. Ill do my best to keep the pictures coming!

IMG-20121004-00754.jpg:icon_rotate:that is a year of off and on work mainly during winter evenings. I rebuit the rockers inner and outer as well as floor bracing, pans and firewall by hand matching factory details. Hardest part was recreating the doglegs and kick panels. Got a good 50lbs of rust and mud off of her in the process till now. Lots more of that to come off the engine and trans!

Looks good! The only problem is I pulled the cords out of my screen turning it to see your pictures!

I really like the diamond plate in the back. She should look tough when your done. Looks like you have a pretty good set up there.

Glad to hear y'all are keeping em' running in up there in the great white north!

Thanks doc, sorry about the crossed up pictures. I'll try to use a real camera from now on! It's been fun so far, I just finished making a sand blast cabinet and nearly done making the rotisserie for the body work. I hope to have more progress pics in the near future but its ice fishing season here now so I've been getting the sled tuned up for that. Stay tuned!

I felt bad about digging on about the pictures, so I posted some the same way. That way nobody's feelings get hurt! Actually a friend sent me the pictures from his smart phone and I can't get them to stay turned.

There are some pics of the rotisserie we built on my thread. Feel free to check it out and steal any ideas you see. As far as I know all of the patents are still pending.
