I need some help in finding a oil pump rebuilt kit for a 1975 200 pickup with a 345 with a rear sump oil pan, any info would be greatfully appreciated

All of the oil pump rebuild kits fit all oil pumps. There is no difference in 'em.

The difference is in the oil pump bodies themselves. The Scout II oil pump has an entirely different design to the pickup tube as compared to an oil pump used in all other forms of the engines used in vehicles other than a Scout II.

The Scout II pump pulls oil from the rear of it's mated oil pan. The other engine apps pull the oil from the front of the oil pan. The Scout II pan does not have much of a "front" sump since it's a double-sump pan.
 
Thanks to michael & dealbreaker. This in of the last IH 200 3/4 ton pickups made. It is 2 wheel drive with a 345 and a rear sump oil pan that must be like in a Scout II. It is being worked on in a local community college with the instructors being a IH mechanic and his Dad has been an IH mechanic for 25 to 30 years, but during the reassembly of the engine the oil pump casting was broken, the single hole tab was broken off and I can't find a new one. Could this pickup, being on of the last ones built, have a Scout II engine in it ? This oil pump is a lower profile unit to fit in the front of the pan. Thanks for the help!!
 
Please post a picture of the oil pump assembly that is needed clearly showing the pickup port location. Then we can make a better judgement regarding which one you need.
 
That picture does not "clearly" Mark pick up tube location. Pick up tube location is on top of that pump as pictured. Bottom of pump installed in engine.

That said it look differant then the oil pump I have out of a 72 IH 345 pick up truck motor. Hth :thumbsup:
 
Eagle-Mark: the pump is on it's side. The hole to the top of the photo is where the pickup tube goes that has a 90 degree bend and goes to the rear of the engine, very different than any pump that I can find. I found a welding shop that would try to braze the tab back on. I hope that that works! This pickup was my dads and has been setting for about 10 years or so. Thanks again
 
Well I would hold off on brazing until these specailist here look at it and see if they have a new one or possibly used one that couldlt. Don't take my word as final statement. These guys are where I go for info. Be rebui
 
If you have some more pictures of it from different angles, I might have one in my basement. Came out of a 392 in a 72 Travelall.

Ornelles and others: thanls for the pics, but that is the wrong pump, I have ordered two of those ( I made surwe that I couldsenfd them back!) and that leg on the bottom hold the oil pan away from the block about 2" and the pick tube assembly is about 10" to short. Appently the '75 345 is rare bird indeed. Thants for the help, I have all ready put in new main and rod bearings, had the crank polished and the heads reworked and planed and new rings and then this happens!!
 
Well, since it is a 345, you could always get an oilpan from from a travell all or even a Scout, then use the coresponding oilpump/pickup to go with it, if there is room for a different oilpan under there.
 
Ornelles: that is a good point, I know a fellow IH person about a hour and a half from here that a lot of scouts including on that has only 25,000 on it. Other wise IH's around here are far and few between, with all of the tons of salt that the dot puts on the roads, most of the onesthatyou find do not have hardly a body left or a frame. Thanks again.
 
You might not even have to replace the engine, just the oilpan and oilpump. If its a 345 then the oil pump bolt holes and such should be the same to allow one of the standard oilpumps to be attached, just need a oilpan and pick-up tube to go with it.
 
As already shown we do sell the oil pump rebuild kits. For your particular application you will need the Scout 800 v8/Scout II v8 oil pump as 74'-75' pick ups and Travelall's were designed completely different than the previous years pick up and Travelall's and used this version of oil pump and pan. We do have used oil pump's just like the one you have for sale as well as rebuilt ones. A rebuilt pump costs $239.95 with a $125 core charge or you can buy the used core from us for $125 and the rebuild kit for $91.85 and save some money since buying a rebuilt one from us plus the core charge will be much more expensive.
