this was my project over the last couple of years and is almost complete, however it is time to move on.
What it has:
--front axle--
GM Dana 44 full size front axle open diff newer (less than 3000 miles) brake hardware. Knuckles were cut and turned professionally.
4.10 gear ratio
converted to 8 lug bolt pattern.
Newer superwinch manual locking hubs
parts Mike hi-steer kit.
Bds shocks set into f-150 shock towers.
4" Scout II lift springs in the front
-- rear axle--
GM 14 bolt free float axle
disc brake conversion
Yukon grizzly locker 4.10 gear ratio
new axle seals and the like. Less than 3000 miles on this axle.
Bilstein shocks and stock springs with 2 leafs taken out for flex.
--drive train--
1994 lt1 out of a camaro. Engine had appx 60,000 miles on it when purhcased. Cylinder walls confirmed motor was still in great condition. Head has been put back on with new head bolts. Engine wiring harness has been stripped of all unnecessary circuits. Computer will have a custom tune from team208 motorsports. Has a new aluminum radiator from summit.
700r4 transmission
np231 to Dana 300 doubler.
-- other modifications/additions--
Psc power steering box drilled and tapped for hydro assist steering.
Removed rag joint from steering column and replaced with a u-joint style steering wheel linkage.
Corvette master brake cylinder for 4 wheel disc brakes
custom 6 point fully enclosed roll cage constructed out of 1.750" x .120" wall material.
Custom built tube doors.
Custom dash built into the roll cage with brand new gauges.
Mid 80s Chevy tilt steering column
2 corbeau sliding seats. I traded my corbeau baja xl seats that were in here for the sliders, and the mounting points to the roll cage need to be altered to accomidate the seat hight of the sliders.
Gas tank has been dropped and completely cleaned out. Eliminated a birds nest of unneccesary fuel lines to the tank. Tank has been reinstalled in the Scout.
New high quality electric fuel pump has been installed outside the tank.
Custom fabricated rear bumper
inside of the Scout has been completly stripped down and cleaned out. It has been coated with herculiner roll in bed liner.
Body panels were stripped and cleaned out of mud and had rust inhibiting paint applied to rust spots. Also painted the body with International off white tractor paint by van sickle. This makes touchups easy via rattle can. (rig wasn't painted with rattle can, but the rattle can is nice for touchups)
mickey thompson baja claws 35x12.5x15 on 15x10 mrw beadlock rims (passenger front tire needs to have the ring taken off and a bead of silicon put on the mounting surface of the tire, and then have the ring retorqued)
hid headlights
--extra parts--
The hard top pictured is in decent shape.
4 extra doors. 1 drivers door has been completely stripped, cleaned, primed and painted with the same paint used on the body. The passenger door is ready to be primed and painted, I just haven't done it.
Tailgate that needs to be stripped primed and painted (or it can be reinstalled and left orange)
1 extra grille
1 extra windshield and brand new windshield gasket.
-----what it needs-----
Sheet metal fan shroud to hold the volvo fan that was planned to cool this beast.
Accessory drive put back on the front of the lt1, along with typical things like spark plugs etc.
Headers if you want to go that route, I think I have the oem exhaust manifolds.
Exhaust.
Drive lines need to be lengthened and shortened to account for the length difference of the doubler.
Shifters for the transmission, np231 range box, and the Dana 300.
Repair a small cut in the brake lines that happened when cutting bracketry off for the new doubler crossmember.
All pictures are as it sits now. I have more pictures from the entire process of rebuilding this rig.
Asking $5,500 cash, so I can just get out of it. Would consider trades of around $6500-$7500, since I have around $20,000 into this whole thing.
Trades considered would be atv's, guns, harley/cruiser type motorcycle.
Wont ship, and I don't have a trailer to meet anyone anywhere with it.
