I have a 73 IH 1210 crew cab long bed. I hit a tree and screwed the frame all up. I was wondering if a travelalll was the same? These are hard the come by so I figure finding a another crew frame would be tougher to find then a Travelall frame. Thanks for any info.

Tlette is longer than the t;all

Probably larger frame rails on the t'ette too. There's a lot more flex in those longer rails. I have a '71 t'ette. I do have a standard '73 1210 frame available. It is possible, if the fronts frames are the same, to cut the front of your frame off and weld a good one on.

66 is deifferrent style truck thanks tho.

. welding in a new section is a thought . how much are you looking for the frame ? where are you located?

I'm in hopland, just off 101 about 2 hours from you. I'd like maybe $200 for the frame if you help with the rest of the dismantling. Currently the engine is out and some of the front clip is gone. I think we could do it in a day if we started early.

I can definitely cheap you out. I also need front fenders, inner fenders , hood, grille etc. If you have that too.

I've got almost 3 complete front clips to choose from. However I want the grill and center section from the 73 for my t'ette. So there's an ok 72 a 71 and a 70 grille. I don't know about cheaping me out though ;-).

When splicing 2 frames together, it's best to take the complete, unmolested frame and build a jig to hold it in place. After it and the bent frame are cut, the jig is used to align the 2 frames for welding.

Did you get this truck from cathy? Because if your screen name is the same as the license plate, I know that truck very well.
