727 measurement?

Ok folks. Long story short I need a measurement from a sb mopar 727. What I May do is replace the bell of my IH 727 with a sb mopar ultra bell but I need to know that the depth of the two are the same from the pump to the mounting flange of the bell housing.....if a guy had a empty sbd 727 and measured from the bellhousing mounting flange to the gasket surface of the pump it should (hopefully) measure about 6 1/2" (picture attached). This is the distance I'm looking for if anyone has the means to help me out.:d

It's hard to see from the picture but the bell is sitting on a flat surface. The tape is measuring from the flat surface to the gasket surface 6 1/2". Could easily put a straight edge across the bell and measure back to the gasket surface also....
 
Thanks guys!...this is prety important to my project so if anyone could find this out it will be worth an few beverages of choice next time we meet.:thumbsup:
even a measurement with the pump installed would be helpfull.
 
I called my dodge buddy and he is supposed to get back to me with a measurment. He said he didn't have any transmissions with the pump missing, so it will be a measurement with the pump. :d

Very cool!:d just ask him what he measured too, head of a bolt, face of the pump near seal, etc.....

Ok rick, my guys says that it is 5.5" from the pump bolt to the outside of the bell and 4.5" from the seal to the outside of the bell.
