72 Scout II Power booster addition Questions.

Good Evening,

I'm about to install a new Master Cylinder/Power Booster Combo to my 72 Scout II which currently has only the master cylinder. It also has been converted to disk brakes all around, so I have just a few questions to understand what entails this conversion.

On the 304 engine does the Booster Vacuum Line connect directly to the Manifold or to a T fitting in the PVC hose?

Do I need to change the proportioning valve that is currently in use with just my standard brake setup and if so, what valve would I need?

Thanks,
Sam

did you have a disc/drum or a drum/drum before?
what do you have now? if it a disc/disc you will new a new prop valve.
far as the vac line i THINK it comes righ off manifold.

Hi IHC72,

Thanks for the response.

I'm not sure what the truck had before I purchased it but the Master cylinder and proportioning valve look to be original to the truck. If I had to venture a guess I'm pretty sure it was disk/drum before.

I'll take a look at the manifold since it's an original with for a 2bbl carb and see if there's a been a plug installed.

If there's no plug I'm still looking for suggestions on how to connect the brake booster vacuum lie.

Thanks Again,
Sam
