66 scout tc help

I recently purchased a 66 Scout 800 with a 4 cylinder engine and 3 speed transmission. It has a Dana 20 transfer case. The problem is with the front shaft. It is broken not allow the stick to engage the truck into 4 wheel drive. My question is there a simple bolt on transfer case from another vehicle? Or would it be easier to just replace the shaft coming out of the tc?

Remove your existing transfer case. Tear it down and inspect all components for wear, replacing parts as needed. All service parts are available, both new and used.
