'63 FUEL PUMP VACUUM QUESTION

I am planning to replace my vacuum wipers with electric.
I removed the hose from the fuel pump.
What do I do with the vacuum now that there is no hose attached?
Do I have to buy a new pump or can I divert the vacuum somewhere or what?
Could it be part of why my engine doesn't run well?
Sorry for the ignorance, just not a fluid engine guy.

Thanks all for your assistance

For that version of a Scout 80, the vacuum nipples on the actual fuel pump should simply be connected together using a piece of hose.

However, there is a hose to the intake manifold at the fitting for the pcv valve. Remove that tube and simply place a plug in that hole or you will have an engine vacuum leak.

So I have this straight. The hose that is going into the intake, pull that off, plug that hole and attched the hose to the other vacuum line on the fuel pump? Scout Vavuum.JPG
