4" Spring Lift Help: What direction?

Howdy!

So I came across an opportunity to pick up a better set of springs than my rock-hard Rough Country 4" lift for my "street Scout."

I believe that these are the Skyjacker softride set that I've got.

The shorter spring (front) has "ties" on the both sides, front and back, but the rear longer springs have only "ties" on one end.

Does the "tied" side on the rear springs go toward the front of the Scout or the rear?

Appreciate any advice!

The wrap goes towards the fixed point, not the shackle.

So in the front, your shackles are probably up front, so the wrap goes towards the rear.....

Thanks!

The front springs have the "wraps" on both ends, it's the rears that only have one "wrap." so, I'm hearing that should be toward the front of the Scout then, because that's where the fixed point is?

The weird thing is, when I google photos of new Skyjacker softride 4" springs, there are the bolt wraps on both ends of the rear springs and the front springs.

Maybe it doesn't even matter that much, these are going on a street Scout who's suspension is never going to see any more extreme articulation other than say, a curb.

Vehicle part designs from the aftermarket change over time. Ya can't make determinations regarding old parts from "modern" photos without calling the parts manufacturer and discussing the issue.

The big question...is the spring center pin absolutely in dead center of the spring overall length or is it offset? And is more than one spring center pin hole provided for changing the actual wheelbase length slightly?

Compare the actual center pin hole "length" with the same area on the oem spring for an idea of what is to be achieved. We don't need any more crooked scouts trying to wobble down the road!
