4 barrel carb / Scout keeps dieing or flooding

I have a 4-barrel carb on my 72 Scout. It seems as if its getting too much fuel and then my Scout dies or floods... How can I get it to stop doing that? So im not driving down the road and it dies on me. Its a edelbrock carb.

Rebuild it using the proper edelbrock kit available everywhere. That is the only solution. Other wise you are going to continue to force raw fuel into the crankcase and will end up with severe oil dilution and major engine problems.

They are not hard to rebulid,
maybe the needle and seat and float are stuck in the open position??

I fixed her.. I had to adjust my air/ fuel mixtures. And then another problem was a bad ground for my coil. So I fixed it
