345 DISTRIBUTOR INSTALL??

Need to install distributor on my 345. I know I have to time it off the number eight cylinder. But I do have a couple questions.
1.what size nut is on the front of the crankshaft so I can turn the motor by hand?
2. Is number eight cylinder on the rear passenger side? ( I read something different on this website )
3. When number eight is at tdc on compression stroke the balancer should be at tdc?
4. What is the proper firing order starting with number eight ?
Thank you in advance as always to all the helpful people on this forum.

need to install distributor on my 345. I know I have to time it off the number eight cylinder. But I do have a couple questions.

1.what size nut is on the front of the crankshaft so I can turn the motor by hand? a. 15/16"

2. Is number eight cylinder on the rear passenger side? ( I read something different on this website ) a. Engine cylinder numbers are cast into the intake runner where they meet the cylinder head. Take a look-see.

3. When number eight is at tdc on compression stroke the balancer should be at tdc? a. Yes, as long as #8 is at tdc of compression stroke. When the Mark on the balancer lines up with the tdc or "0" Mark on the timing cover, the engine will either be at tdc on cylinder #8 or #5.

4. What is the proper firing order starting with number eight ? a. Engine firing order is cast into the intake manifold, forward of the carb on the #2 cylinder runner. Take a look-see.
