Nope, the Holley 2300 like all aftermarket carbs uses the industry standard air cleaner flange of 5-1/8".

Any ihc vehicle that was oem with either the 2300 or the 4150/4160 (or the thermoquad) used the silenced air cleaner you are referring to, it did have the 5-1/8" opening, only the air cleaner for the 22xx-equipped applications used the smaller base.
