My father is moving to puerto rico and is forced to sell his precious Scout II. I would buy it if I had the money because it is a kick ass truck but I'm broke.
It is a 1978 Scout II, original owner, original plates, original paint! Blue with black hood, leather seats. Comes with two tops for it, the one it came with, and one we bought off somebody. You can take the top off and ride without one, which I believe is standard on all scouts. It is a 4-speed 345 motor, that has been professionally restored. Runs great.
It is a 4x4 and can climb just about anything. He once let it idle up a rock hill just to prove it could.
He has put over 10 grand just under the hood and is hoping to get at least 10 out of it. So 10,000 obo. We are located in southern California. It could make a drive up north (not comfortably but it can do it), but my suggestion would be to tow it. The tires don't make for a smooth ride.
