A/C system is completely empty

does any one remember how much oil the York compressor takes? that section is missing from my original service manual. iv read a York Manual i down loaded form the internet that listed specs from 8-14oz of oil in the compressor. that just seems like an awful lot of oil to me. so before i get that much oil does the compressor really take that much ? or is maybe 5oz pored in the compressor and the rest of the oil comes in the Freon ?

my A/C works, it just leaks, and i think i have fixed the leak, so i want to charge it correctly this time and get the oil level correct.

does this look like much of a leak coming out of the A/C dryer

Looks like a smaller leak but still a leak is a leak. It would also help to put a fresh drier in if you are needing to tear into things anyway.

thank you for the reply and professional opinion !
do you guys sell the drier ?
sense it is charged and blowing coldish, i will let it go till its all empty, i dont have any way to recover the 134 gas charge
or a better idea, how complicated is the CPT total air conditioner kit to install ? can the AVG scout owner get it done ?

Yes we should be able to get you a new drier.

The CPT A/C kit is pretty straight forward to install. You'll like the efficiency of the Sanden compressor over the York too. But since yours is currently working I'd just run it until it blows hot again and then maybe consider the upgrade.
