My first post so I apologize up front for my naive post. I have been viewing trying to better understand my Scout II and decided I should take the plunge...sign up and see if I can get some help.
My Scout was a gift from my Dad who purchased it only to lose his license to health problems so she sat for at least 5 years under a carport in humid southern ms. I had her shipped out and she cranked right up as she always did when I drove her on my annual visits to ms.
We had a long cold winter yet she started right up two months ago when I moved her. Since she has sometimes started and sometimes not. New battery, she turns over and that's all. I can smell gas even when I put no pressure on the gas pedal. I see a few wires unconnected from the solenoid.....
I can't find a good picture/image/drawing of the solenoid and it's wiring to check where to start...any ideas? Thanks!
