This is my 1973 International Scout II. I purchased it last summer and began a restoration on it. I start at the bottom rear and worked my way forward. As I went I serviced everything and every bolt I pulled out got replaced with a new grade 8 bolt. I have serviced the differentials, transfer case was rebuilt with a novak kit it has a new Crawler Proven Technology transmission mount. It has brand new u joints from Tom woods. It has brand new brakes. It has a new msd blaster coil, new cap, rotor, points, and wires. It has a completed spring over conversion with a custom dual steering stabilizer. The z bar has been fitted with a hind joint to tighten up the steering. New Bilstein shocks throughout. The body is rust free. New floor boards have been welded in. Lots of receipts to show the love that has gone into it. Now for the bad: the seats need to be redone entirely new foam and upholstery. This was my daily driver until Thursday when the engine went. I think the head gasket failed and the a piston rod went. I had it towed home. I don't have the money for a new engine. I would recommend a new Chevy 350 which I priced out at $1700. Also I was just about to start a rewire on the entire vehicle. I have the dash pulled and need new instruments a kit from ihonlynorth can be purchased for $400. This would be a great project for someone. I have lots of pictures so email me or call if you want more. Contact graham 530-524-6132. I can email you any picture you want.
