Hi guys, want to ask a question here on my clutch linkage. First off i have a 1970 800A with a 196 & 3 speed trans, manual linkage clutch. When i purchased this vehicle it had a 2" body lift which naturally threw my linkage off. i have since removed and installed the correct body bushings to bring everything in line. the problem i am having is there is no travel once the throw-out bearing mates with the pressure plate. The throw-out arm hits the firewall. ive attached a couple pics to show. There is no pressure on the pedal and as you can see it nearly hits the firewall already. i am wondering if there is a linkage issue, clutch arm or pressure plate issue. The only linkage adjustment is at the pedal. the weird part is the throw-out arm (pictured) is already at the firewall before stepping on the clutch.
let me know what you guys think.
